The App
I’m currently developing a small app for older Apple devices that connects to the Hue Bridge and functions similarly to the modern home app on iPhone and iPad. On first launch, the app requests the bridge IP address and saves it locally on the device. The app has four pages: the Home (favourites) view, which displays all your favourite lights; the Scenes page, where you can save the current state of your lights as a scene; the Rooms view; and the Settings page, where you can change the wallpaper for the Home and favourites pages and disconnect from the Hue Bridge. I’m also planning to add an option to customise which lights are displayed in the home page.
